Mili and Hoomance bring smooth, sun-kissed Afro house warmth to Human By Default with 'Morena', out May 17th.

Bedouin have clearly been feeling this one, adding it to their Playlist of the Week on June 27th and holding it close for peak-time sets. With rolling percussion, warm bass and a hypnotic vocal hook, 'Morena' has all the makings of a slow-burning favourite for the summer months ahead.

Human By Default continues to build a reputation for music that balances raw groove with emotional depth, and 'Morena' is another strong addition to that vision.

Afterlife Records delivers another fine, airy cut with SCRIPT's 'On The Low' (Extended Mix), the label's fifth release of 2024 on Beatport.

The release comes at a special time of the year, arriving on the summer solstice (June 21). It offers melodic house and techno that shines most in the mild night. SCRIPT's sounds shine best in the early light.

SCRIPT first appeared in the desk's records with a release on Sofa Sound in May 2023. Now, the artist steps onto Afterlife with a careful, extended arrangement that breathes. No rush. Just rolling textures and a low-lit pulse.

The extended mix opens with a soft, filtered chord, then builds through subtle layers. The drums stay tight, the pads open up slowly, and a melancholic vocal hook drifts in and out, never overstaying its welcome.

Pagez, Herve Pagez and C-Mart land on Deep Root Tribe with Workah (Extended Mix).

Following chart adds from Francis Mercier at Yara earlier this week, the label gives the single full digital release. The extended mix leads with a driving, hypnotic groove, claps, percussive layers and a bold, melodic hook that straddles Afro House and techno, made for peak time floors and open airs.

The release marks the first time Pagez, Herve Pagez and C-Mart have appeared on Deep Root Tribe in the desk's records. It also marks the label's 13th release of the year on Beatport, part of 18 the imprint has put out in 2024 up to July 7th.

For those who seek the music that crosses over from the dancefloor to the late-night atmosphere of the main room, the latest release on Diversions Music, 'Kilamba' by Oxia & Dorian Craft, stands tall. It is not just a track, it is an experience. Since its release back in April, it has steadily been gaining ground, weaving its way into a distinctive niche within the melodic house and techno scene, holding its audience spellbound.

The Hot Since 82 KDIS 10 Year chart special on Beatport has landed, and it features the recent Knee Deep In Sound cut from Birds of Mind, Ramyen and Juliann, Long Kiss Goodnight.

The track, which came out in June, has that deep, mysterious Afro-house pull that works in the small hours. The trio blend rolling percussion with eerie vocal textures and a bassline that keeps its cool throughout. It locks in, then opens out.

Long Kiss Goodnight arrived as Knee Deep's thirteenth release of the year on Beatport, just ahead of the label's fourteenth, which tells you the rate these guys are moving. It's also the first time we've seen Birds of Mind, Ramyen and Juliann on the imprint, having last spotted them on Get Physical Music in May.

BeatFreak Recordings keep the melodic house & techno pressure on with 'Angelus', a moody cut from Frannz.

The track opens with a hypnotic sense of ease, floating airy textures and sparse percussion that gradually gather momentum. Warm stabs and delicate keys move across the mix, coaxing the listener further into its spell. Frannz knows exactly how to tease a build, letting suspense simmer before locked-in drums land with a satisfying snap.

Label head Sharam Jey has selected the release 'Attraction' by ArtSky for his monthly charts. As always his selection is a reflection of melodic house and techno excellence. ArtSky's sound is dreamy with a strong nod to the scene's more organic-leaning end of the spectrum, offering room for exploration and many a music library.

For his June chart, Sharam Jey is shining a light on this record, which stands out for its blend of warm pads, steady kick drums and subtle synth details. Listeners get the impression they are in for a treat as the track gradually unfolds its hypnotic atmosphere.

SOHN and CamelPhat's 'Turning Stones' is a record with a heavy atmosphere. Floating vocal bits, gentle keys and a rolling groove give it a romantic feeling that sits nicely between the electronic worlds of all three artists involved.

Now Mind Against have stepped in with their own take, giving the original a wider, more cinematic feel. Emanuel Satie & Maga's remix of "How You Feel" takes Samer Soltan's original into deeper, more hypnotic territory.
